First Phase Open

In February 2026, we began the refurbishment of The Portcullis with one goal: to create the best place to watch and play sport in Barnsley.

We're excited to say that Phase One is now complete! We've introduced two Trackman Golf Simulators, Interactive Darts lanes, a pool table and a huge 160-inch HD screen, alongside a brand-new, modern and comfortable bar and seating area.

But we're not finished yet...

Phase Two of the project will see the lounge bar completely refurbished, the kitchen reopened and brand-new bathrooms installed as we continue to transform Play Off.
